Standard

Excellent restaurant with marvellous decco almost invisible from Horacio Gallo recreating the spirit of the 50s family diners. The dishes follow that spirit and recovers argentinian food with regressive flavours from our parents’ homes. Ravioles de seso con estofado areunforgettable the same as the crab pies.

Palermo – Fitz Roy y Guatemala

El Rey del Cepillo

Surprising and amazing with the biggest viarety of  brushes that you can imagine and for improbable uses each one of them with an excellent quality; also dusters made out of ostrich feathers, exhuberant like some vedettes from Lido.

Carpincho

The king of gloves from Buenos Aires; apart from the wonderful and always elegant gloves made out of carpincho skin in super useful colors and also lined in otter. Incredible also the one for gentelmen in colors like cherry or aubergine. A must have are the ones to drive the car. The ones for the the ladies are worthy of Grace Kelly in “To catch a thief”

Bar del Plaza

The old bar from the Plaza Marrito is perfectly conserved as it was in the 40s. Super elegant ambience in where it wouldn’t be strange to run into Noel Coward or Cole Porter. Unbeatable climate, polish attention and excellent cocktails. My fav are Whisky sour and the Negroni.

Centro – Florida 1

Club del Progreso

Located in an antique petit hotel, before belonging to a patrician argentinian family, in the beginnings of XX century was turned into a social club. In other times it was meeting point from different presidents and dignataries, preferably from the Partido Radical, Also meeting point from Masons because of the neighbourship of their temple. Now, thanks to the rejuvenation of its kitchen, frequented by young people captivated by the allure of the emviroment and exquisite food. Impecable the Costilla al horno de barro con su lechón.

Centro – Sarmiento 1334
